Among the components of MIADP, Component 4 focuses on project management, monitoring, and evaluation with the Procurement Unit tasked to oversee infrastructure, goods, and services procurement. Guided by the principles such as value for money and fairness, the Procurement Unit ensures compliance with the World Bank guidelines. To build procurement capacity, early-stage training sessions are conducted for LGUs and IPOs focusing on harmonized procurement process, roles and responsibilities, submission of bid evaluation reports (BERs), and resolving procurement issues. Interactive discussions and workshops are employed to encourage participant engagement, share experiences, and clarify concerns. The expected outcome is enhanced understanding and preparedness among stakeholders to manage procurement activities effectively. The training is facilitated by the MIADP Caraga Procurement Unit in collaboration with the PSO, and involved participants from LGUs and RPCO.
