Regions from across Mindanao converge in Caraga for the Project-wide Coordination and Consultation Meeting of the Department of Agriculture – Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project (DA-MIADP), held in San Jose, Province of Dinagat Islands, from June 15 to 18, 2025.
The meeting gathers project component heads, personnel, and representatives from key regional offices to assess implementation progress, address operational challenges, and align strategies for the project’s next phases.

Gracing the event, Caraga Regional Development Council (RDC) Chairperson & Dinagat Islands Provincial Governor Nilo P. Demerey Jr. emphasized the vital role of development projects in addressing deep-rooted societal issues such as poverty, marginalization, and lack of access to basic services. He underscored the importance of inclusive and community-driven initiatives like MIADP in creating lasting impact and fostering sustainable growth in Indigenous Peoples communities.


DA Caraga Regional Technical Director for Operations and MIADP-13 Deputy Project Director Rebecca R. Atega welcomed the participants, highlighting the significance of interregional collaboration in achieving the project’s shared goals.
MIADP Project Support Office (PSO) Deputy Project Director Engr. Cristy Cecilia P. Polido formally opened the activity, setting the tone for strategic and participatory dialogue throughout the event.
The four-day activity features plenary discussions and workshops, fostering cross-regional collaboration and learning. Participants review performance updates, harmonize work plans, and share best practices in engaging Indigenous Peoples (IPs) in agriculture-based development.
