MANOLO FORTICH, BUKIDNON — The Department of Agriculture – Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project Regional Project Coordination Office 10 (DA-MIADP RPCO 10) spearheaded a three-day workshop held from June 30 to July 2 to provide updates to key stakeholders of DA-MIADP and the Local Government Unit’s (LGU) plans and activities for the Daraghuyan Ancestral Domain (AD), while also providing a platform for the Daraghuyan AD to showcase their existing agricultural initiatives and priorities through the presentation of their Ancestral Domain Agricultural Implementation Framework (ADAIF).

An overview of the Provincial Commodity Investment Plan (PCIP) was presented, aligning local efforts with broader regional strategies. DA-MIADP RPCO 10 strategically invited representatives from the DA-Regional Field Office 10’s Banner Programs and Projects, the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples – Region 10 (NCIP-10), the Local Project Management Implementing Unit (LPMIU) of Malaybalay City, Protected Area Management Office of Mt. Kitanglad Range Natural Park (PAMO-MKRNP), the Barangay LGU of Dalwangan, and the Provincial LGU of Bukidnon. This initiative aimed to explore potential collaborations with aligned government agencies and programs, ensuring comprehensive and sustained support for the partner Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples (ICC/IPs), fostering a more integrated and effective approach to significantly enhance agro-economic opportunities.

Beyond the intensive planning sessions, participants also had the valuable opportunity to tour Alomah’s Place and Nature Farm, gaining practical insights into organic agriculture practices and potential opportunities for their ICC.
