MALITBOG, BUKIDNON — The Department of Agriculture – Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project Regional Project Coordination Office 10 (DA-MIADP RPCO 10) concluded a three-day activity from June 30 to July 2, 2025, focusing on the profiling of Kalanawan 2 Ancestral Domain’s Indigenous Peoples’ Organization (IPO) and the updating of their Ancestral Domain Agricultural Implementation Framework (ADAIF).

The activity involved intensive profiling and validation of their existing nine (9) IPOs, aimed at thoroughly understanding their current capacities, needs, and organizational structures. This profiling serves as the baseline for future capacity-building programs, ensuring support services will be delivered effectively.

Concurrently, the DA-MIADP RPCO 10 team also facilitated the updating of their ADAIF, bringing together the members of their Indigenous Political Structure (IPS) led by Datu Tinikdawan Freddie M. Sumonda and the community members. This collaborative effort ensured the World Bank and DA’s vision of formulating their agri-development plan in a participatory manner, aligning with the community’s aspirations, traditional knowledge, and the prevailing environmental and social conditions. The updated ADAIF will become the basis for the implementation of projects, including potential infrastructure and enterprise development initiatives, all designed to sustainably increase agricultural productivity, enhance resilience, and improve access to markets and services for the partner Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peopls (ICC/IPs).
