MIADP's AD-Plan Component spearheaded the preliminary agri-investment identification activity to help in developing communities of Indigenous People in Mindanao.

Remedios T. Romualdez, ADN—As part of the social preparation activities of the Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project (MIADP), the AD-Plan component, together with the Provincial Local Government of Agusan del Norte (PLGU-ADN), organized a preliminary agri-investment identification activity in Brgy. San Antonio on Tuesday, February 25.

The activity points toward the formulation of the Ancestral Domain Agricultural Investment Framework (ADAIF) for CADT 256 in RTR, ADN. The ADAIF serves as the guiding document for identifying and updating priority investments within the ancestral domain. Guided by the Ancestral Domain Sustainable Development and Protection Plan (ADSDPP) of CADT 256, key commodities identified by the Mamanwa IPs include abaca, coconut, fruit trees, vegetables, and livestock.

The event not only affirms MIADP’s core principle of collaboration among partner indigenous communities in delivering government interventions to marginalized groups, but it also aims to gather significant primary information directly from the cultural communities.
