DAVAO CITY, April 23, 2025 – The Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project (MIADP) Regional Project Coordination Office (RPCO) XI together with the Project Support Office (PSO), National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP), and Davao Occidental’s Local Project Management Implementation Unit (LPMIU) conducted a Joint Technical Review (JTR) of Datu Danwata Women Association’s (DDWA) proposed business plan under Component 3 or Ancestral Domain Agri-Fisheries Production and Enterprise Development.

DDWA’s business plan of coffee consolidation, post-harvest processing, and marketing of Robusta green coffee beans marked the first of agri-preneurial ventures of Indigenous People’s Organization (IPOs) from RPCO XI, pioneering the project implementation for the enterprise development’s end.
DDWA is the sole Indigenous Peoples’ Organization for the Blaan-Tagakaulo Ancestral Domain (AD) in Davao Occidental.
After review, the proposed plan will undergo the Regional Project Advisory Board (RPAB) deliberation, where it will be subject to approval. The RPAB is a body responsible for approving subprojects to guide MIADP’s implementation and is constituted by heads and representatives from relevant government agencies.

Joint Technical Review
The 2-day activity included an extensive review of the business plan from the project’s components, social and entrepreneurial unit, procurement unit, planning, monitoring and evaluation unit, geographical information systems, and its overall economic viability.
Recommendations from the components and units were collated to strengthen the business plan’s feasibility in preparation for its eventual RPAB deliberation. Once the RPAB approves, the business plan will serve as the backbone for the project implementation and operation of DDWA’s agri-preneurial venture.

“Kani nga project para sa atoang IPO, siguraduhon nato nga ang mga nakita nga recommendations, makaya nato ug amend kay gusto nato nga mahitabo ni nga proyekto,” MIADP’s Component 3 Head Larry Agpalo emphasized.
(This project is for our IPO–let’s make sure that the proposed recommendations here are applied so that we can realize the project.)
MIADP RPCO XI’s Deputy Project Director Zabdiel Zacarias attended the review alongside RPCO XI’s Component 3 Head Melinda Rubellano.
