The Mamanwa Indigenous Peoples (IPs) of Certificate of Ancestral Domain Title (CADT) No. 254 unanimously endorse the Ancestral Domain Agricultural Implementation Framework (ADAIF) as a guiding document for subproject investments under the Department of Agriculture’s Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project (DA-MIADP).

The endorsement was made official during a Community Assembly held on April 23 in Surigao City, spearheaded by the AD-Plan component of DA-MIADP in close coordination with the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP). The gathering also aimed to integrate the ADAIF into the Ancestral Domain Sustainable Development and Protection Plan (ADSDPP) of the Indigenous Cultural Communities (ICCs) within CADT 254.

Development Facilitator Andres B. Sarsaba leads the orientation session, while Maria Elizabeth Caga, Chairperson of the MAMASANSISU Mamanwa Tribal Organization, and Secretary Luzminda Caga present the ADAIF document. Additionally, Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative (IPMR) Joenil B. Masana, NCIP MIADP Focal and CDO III Andrew M. Salas and Development Management Officer (DMO) II Love Joy O. Evasco facilitate the signing of the tribal resolution.

Anchored on the ADSDPPs of the participating ICCs/IPs, the ADAIF identifies priority infrastructure and enterprise subprojects to be implemented under the AD Infra and AD Enterprise components of MIADP. These interventions seek to strengthen self-determined development within the ancestral domain and promote sustainable livelihood opportunities for the Mamanwa community.
