BUTUAN CITY—To expand MIADPs reach, the Department of Agriculture (DA) – Caraga through the Regional Agriculture and Fisheries Information Section (RAFIS) led a media briefing with various local media partners on April 28, at the DA Caraga Conference Hall.
The briefing aims to orient media partners from across the region on the Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project (MIADP), its salient features, project objectives, and progress updates.
DA Regional Technical Director for Operations and MIADP Deputy Project Director and Rebecca R. Atega stressed the uniqueness of the project,
“MIADP is unique because of its utmost respect to indigenous laws and practices that shape their culture. It is not just about building infrastructure or increasing production — it’s about empowering indigenous communities by honoring their traditions, strengthening their livelihoods, and ensuring that development is inclusive and culturally appropriate,” Atega said.
The briefing is part of DA-Caraga’s continuing efforts to generate greater public awareness and encourage media support for the agency’s programs across the region.
