SurSur Manobo IPs identify key crops within CADT 116

SAN MIGUEL, SDS—Capping the final leg of the MIADP’s series of social preparation activities, the AD-Plan component completes the community orientation cum agri-investment workshop for the ancestral domain of CADT 116, March 13-14.

Representatives from the 13 Barangays within the AD namely Umalag, Bolhoon, Libas Sud, Magroyong, Carromata, Bagyang, Bitaugan, Siagao, Tina, Poblacion, Sagbayan, San Roque and Calatngan. 

This activity serves as a foundational step in developing the Ancestral Domain Agricultural Investment Framework (ADAIF), a strategic guide for identifying and prioritizing agricultural investments within the ancestral domain. The ADAIF aligns with the Ancestral Domain Sustainable Development and Protection Plan (ADSDPP) of the respective CADT.

Planning and Social Preparation Officer Jessa Myr Balandra led the workshop while Social Preparation Specialist Rodolfo Domingo, Jr. and Development Facilitator John Lester Sabayanan oriented the participants and presented the salient features of the project respectively.

Present were San Miguel Mayor Michael T. Corilla, Provincial Indigenous Peoples Representative (IPMR) Jimmy I. Guinsod, Municipal IPMR Rico H. Maca, and Municipal tribal chieftain Arnold M. Acebedo together with the Barangay tribal leaders and members.
